These Past Weekends Events! Thank You & Photos!
The Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside and the Riverside Public Art Walk were both a blast!
We wanted to give a huge thank you to the Beaches International Jazz Festival for hosting a fun-filled weekend at the Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside from July 5-7th! The weekend was full of live music, dancing, good food, sidewalk sales, and smiling faces! Thanks to all the Riverside businesses who took part and hosted sidewalk sales! Click here to check out our blog post and some more photos from the weekend!
We also wanted to give a special thank you to…

Anjuli Solanki, for doing an excellent job of leading the walk. Anjuli is a former Executive Director of the Riverside BIA and helped implement many of the Riverside public art projects that you learned about on the tour! Jacquie Comrie, for attending and speaking on her ideas and intentions for her new mural that will be coming into the neighbourhood shortly! And All of the attendees, it wouldn’t have been possible without you! Thanks for bringing the community together and for learning about the art in Riverside.

Butchers of Distinction – Riverside Business Profile Series
This week’s Business Profile features the beloved Butchers of Distinction Butcher Shop!
Robert says Butchers of Distinction specializes in whole animal butchery, done right in the shop – proper old-school style. While the Queen Street East butcher features a variety of Ontario meats, Robert says the dry-aged steaks are the most popular, along with their sausages as they are making close to 400 pounds a week now.In addition to supplying Riverside residents (and restaurants) with the best meats in Ontario, Butchers of Distinction also supports the local community in many other ways through fundraising, donating to auctions and by building relationships with other businesses in the neighbourhood.Visit our website here to check out our blog post to learn all about Butchers of Distinction! Be sure to keep an eye out for our bi-weekly Business Profile Series posts!
