It’s Tomorrow! Halloween Fest RAIN or SHINE!

Riverside BIA’s Halloween Fest is coming up on October 27th, 09:30am-12:30pm.
We all love dressing up! Whether as our alter-ego, superhero or just as a mere form of expression. Kids of all ages are invited to get into costume and join in for some fun and spooky happenings in Riverside this Halloween. It’s Riverside’s FREE Halloween Fest on Saturday, October 27th, presented by Nell & Natasha’s Real Estate Homeward, the Jimmie Simpson Rec Centre, the Riverside BIA:
- JOIN THE FUN outdoors starting at 9:30am at Nell & Natasha’s (807A Queen E) for face painting, a bouncy castle, pumpkin decorations and more!
- Haunted House and Pumpkin Carving from 10am to 12pm at Jimmie Simpson Rec Centre (870 Queen E)!
- TAKE PART in the Riverside BIA’s Kiddie Costume Parade, leaving from 807A Queen Street East (11:30am-12:30pm): guided by the Riverside BIA, kids and parents will meet & greet and get fun treats from around 20 local Riverside businesses!

Switchback has a Winner for the Bike Raffle!

After a successful fundraiser during their Harvest Ride, some of the donations Switchback Cyclery got was a Brodie Bolt bike which they raffled for $2!!!!
The BIA went there to draw the lucky one and this week we show it all here! Congratulations to Grace the winner of the Brodie Bolt bike raffle !!!Check all the details of the draw on Switchback Cyclery Facebook page!

TAXED OUT exhibition from TABIA

As a Member of the BIA, invited you to the TAXED OUT exhibition!
A special event presented in partnership by the Ryerson City Building Institute, Toronto Region Board of Trade and TABIA. See the Ryerson CBI’s exhibition, TAXED OUT, on the threat of current commercial tax policy to small business and culture, enjoy a drink with members of TRBOT and TABIA, and talk property tax.

It might be getting chilly outside, but the holiday season is fast approaching to warm things up!
SAVE THE DATE! On the last Saturday of November, Riverside hosts Light Up Riverside and Shop the Neighbourhood! Free to the public, the celebration features a countdown and tree lighting, live music, meet and greet (plus treats) with our co-sponsors, photos with Santa, warm refreshments, crafts, and more for all to enjoy!

StopGAP 4th Annual FUNraiser!
You’re invited to join them at Ramp Up 2018 – our 4th annual FUNraiser to support the work of StopGap Foundation! With your generous support from last year’s Ramp Up event, they were able to build hundreds of new ramps in communities all over the country and they are starting to grow their initiatives internationally – wowza!
This year’s fundraiser will be held at the beautiful Daniel’s Spectrum in Regent Park on Friday, November 30th from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm.

A Notice from MVM4 Productions Inc.:We will be filming EXTERIOR scenes at Jimmie Simpson Park.
October 30, 2018 between the hours of 12PM – 4PM.
The production vehicles and various pieces of film equipment will not be obstructing parking or sidewalks in any way, will be not be reserving parking or coning the area.
