Community Alert
The Riverside BIA became aware that there is a man currently approaching a few businesses in the East End mentioning he’s with the City or Hydro and that he needs to take a look at some electrical wiring in the store. However, when he leaves, people notice products missing in the store.
This has happened a couple of times already in Leslieville as well.
So, be aware, ask for identification and when in doubt contact your provider directly.

Toronto Raptors at Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre

As part of the 2019 NBA Finals, the Toronto Raptors recently visited the Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre to unveil the renovations completed.

Many youths in the community were joined with players Chris Boucher, Marc Gasol, Danny Green, Jeremy Lin, Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam  Friday afternoon for the dedication of the NBA Cares Learn and Play Centre.

The renovations have allowed for 4 spaces within the centre; a multi-purpose room, a recreation room, a preschool room and a gym. Visitors will have places to read, use computers and laptops, the ability to do digital graffiti and make snacks. In terms of physical activity, there are spots for basketball skills and drills, ping pong, board games and video games.
