Change is always in the Air in Riverside…check out some of the ins and outs on the go this summer, from the west side of the Riverside BIA to the east side:
Riverside Square implementation continues, with a focus on the south end of the site including the Downtown Automotive Group portion and condo buildings
709 Queen E: Brickworks Ciderhouse is working on finishing and licensing their second level back patio space

FREE City of Toronto Event Series on Innovation, Tech & Economic Opportunity
The City of Toronto is convening a group of experts on how technology can be leveraged to advance our economy. Businesses can learn how innovation and technology are transforming Toronto’s economy and what resources are available for organizations to better navigate these changes. Three FREE information and discussion sessions will be held:
Major TTC Streetcar Track is Ongoing on Broadview North of Queen to Dundas
Phase 1 has begun and this week the City of Toronto and Toronto Transit Commission began work on the aging TTC streetcar track on Broadview Avenue at the intersection of Dundas Street East and replacing track on Broadview between Dundas Street East and First Street.
We will be filming INTERIOR and EXTERIOR scenes at: Merchants of Green Coffee (2 Matilda St, Toronto, ON M4M 1L9)
-filming will go past 11pm each night from July 4th – July 6
-clearing parking for shot on the east side of Davies Ave from Queen St E to Thompson St (Reserving from 7am on July 4 the until the morning of July 7th)
-Intermittent traffic control under police supervision on Davies Ave from Queen St E to Matilda St
and on Matilda St from Davies Ave to Carroll St
Our production vehicles and various pieces of film related equipment will be parked as follows:
– East side of Davies Ave, Thompson St to Matilda St
– South side of Matilda St from Davies Ave to Carroll St
– East side of Carroll St from Matilda St to Dundas St E
TerraCycle is a highly-awarded and globally recognized recycling company that develops zero waste solutions for difficult-to-recycle waste streams.
The Riverside BIA recycles cigarette butts through this program, but individual businesses can register with Terracycle’s many programs to recycle all sorts of waste such as metals, platics, organics, fibers and fabrics. Get the details on their website
Tree Planting Grants Available
The Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation, in partnership with the City of Toronto, has grants available to support private land tree planting, facilitate community participation and the capacity building that is critical to achieving Toronto’s tree canopy goals.
