Hunt & Sons Hardware. 1022 Gerrard St E. Toronto. Circa 1910  (From Dan Scrictland)

Freeling Hunt, pictured, opened the store in 1908. His two sons, Basil and Charlie, took over the business and ran it for many years. Their sister, Gladys, lived upstairs from the store all her life and was a retired school teacher.Basil passed away in the sixties, leaving Charlie as the sole owner. Charlie ran the old time hardware store they same way his father did until his retirement in the mid 80’s. Charlie died in 2001.
