New 18blocks.com Riverside Community Notice Board is here for you!

Join the New Riverdale, Leslieville, Riverside Community Board!

Social media platforms connect us with people around the world.  But how do we start a conversation with our neighbours?

Enter 18Blocks – a free, hyper-local, online network designed to help neighbours connect around common interests.  By posting notes with photos, neighbourhood residents, community organizations, and local businesses can reach out to discover one another, or be easily found.  In turn, neighbours can comment publicly or respond privately to notes. Riversideneighbourhood has joined the 18blocks.com community Board!

The platform is good news for Riverside businesses. The company is offering local retailers the ability to create and post notes on the site for free.  In addition, Riverside businesses receive a free listing on the company’s neighbourhood directory.

It takes just seconds and you can use it to post a note about anything – from an in-store event/special to a note just saying ‘thanks’ for a helping hand.

18 Blocks is active in 16 neighbourhoods across Toronto.  Over the last year, they have partnered with BIAs and other local organizations on community initiatives including, Spring into Parkdale, the Cabbagetown Forsythia Festival, YIMBY, The Junction Summer Solstice Festival, and the Bloordale Laneway Crawl….and now they are partnering with Riverside BIA!
