The Riverside Coffee Culture Walk is coming up on July 7th! UPDATE: Major TTC Streetcar Track Work Starts This Sunday on Broadview at Dundas & Gerrard

Notice from City of Toronto:
The City and TTC will re renewing aging TTC streetcar track infrastructure on Broadview at the intersections of Dundas and Gerrard, and tracks on Broadview between Dundas and Gerrard. For Phase 1 work, the City of Toronto and Toronto Transit Commission will be renewing aging TTC
streetcar track on Broadview Avenue at the intersection of Dundas Street East and replacing track on Broadview between Dundas Street East and First Street:
- 4:00 AM Monday, June 25 – 6:00 PM Monday, July 9: The Intersection of Broadview and Dundas will be fully closed and there will be two-way traffic on Broadview between Gerrard Street East and Allen.Avenue.
- 6 PM Monday, July 9 – 11:59 PM Monday, July 23: Dundas Street East will open to two-way traffic. Broadview north of Dundas Street East will be limited to one lane northbound for Local Traffic Access and deliveries only. There will be NO southbound travel on Broadview between Gerrard Street East and Dundas Street East.
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
- LOCAL ACCESS ONLY ON STREETS BOUNDED BY (see map): Gerrard St (to the north) and Queen St (to the south), West Ave / Wardell St (to the east) and Blackburn St / Munro St / Carroll St / Davies Ave (to the west)
- THROUGH TRAFFIC TO USE: East-West traffic: Eastern Ave, Gerrard St, Danforth Ave, North-South traffic: Parliament St, Logan Ave, Carlaw Ave, TTC vehicles will be using streets closer to Broadview.
- BROADVIEW AVENUE North of Gerrard Street East to Danforth Avenue: The centre streetcar track lanes will be closed at various sections for minor streetcar track and concrete repairs. Traffic will be restricted to the curb lanes in both directions.
- PEDESTRIANS: Sidewalks along Broadview Ave will remain accessible and
pedestrians will be safely detoured around the work area to access local businesses
- CYCLISTS: Cyclists are expected to dismount and walk around the intersection
closures or choose an alternate route.

Public Meeting for New Facade & Property Improvement Program
The City proposes to adopt a city-wide improvement plan (CIP) for the Commercial/Industrial Facade and Property Improvement Program that enhances the current program making grants available to commercial and industrial property owners, and business tenants of such properties, to improve and enhance building facades and properties within Business Improvement Areas. The proposed changes would provide base grants of up to $12,500 and additional $2,500 grant funding for exterior accessibility devices.
A public meeting will be held July 5, 2018 at 11:15am at City Hall, Committee Rm 1, 2nd Fl (100 Queen St W)
