Shakespeare in the Ruff Annual Fundraiser Seeking Silent Auction Items
|
Shakespeare in the Ruff, a not for profit theatre company performs each summer in Withrow Park. Now, in their 6th season, Shakespeare in the Ruff strives towards the seamless integration of outdoor theatre, education and community building. Underpinning all of our work is the core value of accessibility.
Their annual fundraiser is a Trivia Night on Monday April 23rd at Louis Cifer Grill. They are gathering silent auction items from local businesses to support this cause and hope the Riverside neighborhood would be able to assist. If you have something to donate please contact Riverside resident: Christine Riedel at riedelkiki@yahoo.com or 416-833-4121.

Two amazing festivals are coming up this summer in Riverside, and we’re inviting all businesses and community partners to get involved!!
Saturday, June 2nd is the 6th Annual Riverside Eats & Beats Streetfest, happening alongside the 20th Annual Riverdale Art Walk! Get ready to taste the eats and feel the beats in Riverside’s 10 blocks along Queen St East from Davies to Empire Ave. The BIA will be hosting four exciting street closures at Broadview (south of Queen – main stage), Munro, Saulter and McGee streets. We will have a Sidewalk Sale Permit and a Noise Permit which enables Riverside businesses and organizations to get out on their sidewalk space with BBQs, live music, sidewalk promos and more.
Friday, July 6- Sunday, July 8th is the ‘Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside’, which kicks off the 30th Annual Beaches International Jazz Fest. This year’s event features main music stage in Jimmie Simpson Park, and block parties with live music on De Grassi St, Boulton Ave, and Saulter St. The Riverside BIA is again getting a Sidewalk Sale permit so Riverside business or organizations can be part of the festivities!
