Switchback Cyclery’s Winter Pick-Up, Drop-Off Bike repair program is back for its 5th year! It’s difficult to imagine warmer weather in the middle of January, but the biking season will be just around the corner in no time! In late January, Riverside’s Switchback is offering you the opportunity to have your bike picked up at home, serviced, and returned to you at no extra cost.
Oma Chiropractic & Wellness supports Nellie’s Coldest Night of the Year
On February 22nd Nellie’s Shelter is hosting the Coldest Night of the Year in Riverside. It’s part of a movement across Canada to raise money and awareness of people who are homeless, who are hungry and for those who are forced to flee violence and abuse.
Lots of Riverside businesses and residents are getting on board! Nellie’s is 30% toward their fundraising goal with 14 teams and 35 walkers signed up to date. They need more, please help support this cause!

The Starter Company Female Founders Program is aimed at helping women led businesses with training to assist them further with operations and marketing their business. The Starter Company Retail Accelerator Program is aimed at helping main street retail businesses with training to assist them further with operations and marketing their business. Commercial Facade Grant Program
Members of the Riverside BIA may be eligible for grants through the City of Toronto’s annual Commercial Facade Improvement Program. These grants provide financial assistance to property owners and business tenants to improve their commercial and industrial buildings and properties, and in doing so enhance their appearance, functionality, safety and competitiveness.
Learn more about it and check out the application process. Stay tuned for news on when the 2020 program is accepting applications. The program usually opens up in late February early March and functions on a first come first serve basis so now’s the best time to get started on your planning!.
