COVID Information for Businesses & Property Owners

The Canada United Small Business Relief Fund is being extended and successful applicants will receive a relief grant of up to $5,000. 

The relief grant can be used for any of the following eligible expenses:

  • Purchased Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, face shields, and latex gloves.
  • Renovated physical space to adhere to local, Provincial or Federal reopening guidelines.
  • Developed or improved e-commerce capabilities for your business.

BIA Notices & Reminders

The Confronting Anti-Black Racism Training series for BIAs has launched. This training has been made available to all BIA boards, members and staff.

Training Goals:

  • Examine how the history of Black people in Canada continues to impact socio-economic disadvantages and disparities experienced by Black Torontonians today;
  • Identify the multifold manifestations of anti-Black racism in Canadian policies, legislation and institutions.
  • Learn and apply the Anti-Black Racism Analysis Tool to ensure BIA services, spaces and policies are fully responsive, inclusive and accessible to Black Torontonians.
