Bringing the best of the West to the East… For the East:
As the visionary behind one of the first two fashion and style retailers on Queen St. W., Good Neighbour co-founder Aziz Alam brought fashion and style to the west end before it was the hub that it is now. For this concept, Aziz has joined forces with his nephew, Sam Jalees, an entrepreneurial young professional, making Good Neighbour a family affair!
Good Neighbour will be located at 935 Queen St. E., in the heart of rapidly evolving Leslieville (right at Queen and Carlaw). The building was the former home to Playing With Time, Inc., the company that produced the famed television series, Degrassi.
The Concept:
With an influx of style-conscious young families, young professionals and other groups calling Leslieville home, there has been an explosion in the number of destination-restaurants, coffee-shops, bars and other businesses in the area. Aziz and Sam believe that Leslieville is ready for a visionary, style-oriented small retailer bringing a well-curated, unique selection of clothing, footwear, accessories and gift ideas to the community at affordable prices. Recognizing the large demographic of young families in the neighbourhood, Good Neighbour will also offer a selection of children’s games, toys, gifts and clothing that is sure to impress. They will also be collaborating with Drake General Store and Love the Design with an assortment of products from both being offered within Good Neighbour.
Good Neighbour’s goal is to be more than just a place to buy great products. They’re looking forward to being truly good neighbours by getting involved in community causes and events. They look forward to meeting you at the store when they launch early next week (week of September 29). Stop by and say hi!
