Next Wednesday, May 1st 2019, one of our friends Elizabeth Gillan Muir will be launching two new books at the Dora Keogh Irish Pub- 141 Danforth Avenue from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Elizabeth is a Riverdale historian and a retired professor of Canadian Studies at Waterloo who also wrote “Riverdale East of The Don” a book chronicling the history of the Riverdale neighbourhood. Her two latest books are “A Women’s History of the Christian Church”- a look at two thousand years of female leadership in the Christian church, and “Air-Crazy, Too”- a chronicle of fascinating stories of Canadian women pilots. We will be there to support her, mark your calendars and come check it out!
