After an extremely busy holiday season & winter break, I’ve finally had a moment to reflect on this past year’s success for The Matt & Ben Team.
In 2025, we were the number 1 team in South Riverdale (Leslieville/Riverside) for total transactions (buys, sells and leases) on the entire Toronto Real Estate Board. Despite the very difficult year in the Toronto real estate market, we had our third best year to date. We celebrated our 23rd year in the business and 20 consecutive years of being in the top 1% of realtors on the Toronto Real Estate Board.
Despite the challenging condo market, we sold the most expensive loft/condo in E01 (Don Valley to Coxwell, Danforth to Lakeshore) in 2025 for a great price. Although we are your east end experts, we do over 50% of our business outside of the east end. We list properties all over the GTA and have helped many clients with their “estate sale” needs. With an aging population this is a significant portion of our business and we can help you through it with expert advice.
We assisted with dozens of cosmetic renovations/staging projects and even virtual staging for vacant properties. We made many charitable donations to not only our favorite charities but our clients favourite charities as well.
To top it off we received the RE/MAX Circle of Legends award (their highest honour), so we are now officially legends not only in our own minds but according to the RE/MAX upper brass as well lol.
In Toronto, prices are currently similar to the prices in 2019 as per Toronto Real Estate Board statistics GTA wide. However, homes in trendy and desirable central locations that have been well kept are still performing well and are an exception to the statistics, though we are still below the peak prices of 2021 & 2022. What does this mean for you? Well it would be a great time to buy if you’re a first time buyer, It would be a great time to help your children buy if they are wanting to enter the Toronto housing market and it’s also a good time to upsize or downsize as long as you aren’t expecting 2021-2022 pricing on your current home.
