Riverside Wild Plant Walk is this Saturday, May 5th
Riverside Walks kicks off this Saturday, May 5th!
Join in the ‘Wild Plant Walk in Riverside’ led by Clinical Herbalist Danette Steele – Click for Details – learn to identify local plants that are good for food, medicine and pollinators – come out and enjoy this Riverside Walk, on Jane’s Walk weekend. It’s also the first walk of the 2018 Riverside BIA’s monthly walking series (May-October).
The festivities that you know and love will be happening on the first Saturday of June within the Riverside BIA along Queen E from the DVP to Empire Avenue, alongside the Riverdale ArtWalk. This year’s festival has an amazing roster of activities and events:
Thank you to Riverside BIA, Brickworks Ciderhouse, Prohibition Gastrohouse and Tabule for their generous donations to Shakespeare in the Ruff’s annual spring fundraising event and silent auction. The event raised over $5000 to go toward our summer production in Withrow Park of Portia’s Julius Caesar, a re-imagining of Shakespeare’s classic from the perspective of the women of Caesar’s Rome.
