The BIA is saying farewell to Jennifer Lay, while she goes into a much deserved 1-year maternity leave to welcome her second child. We wish her well with the new addition to the family!
While on leave, the BIA welcome Acting Executive Director Lais Fabricio. Lais is in the BIA office since mid-May and has been through a couple of events in the neighbourhood. She looks forward to continuing meeting everyone in the area and helping the thriving neighbourhood with its events, magazine and streetscape.
Halloween is Just Around the Corner, Join the Riverside BIA Kiddie Costume Parade!
Riverside BIA’s annual Halloween Kiddie Costume Parade is coming up on October 27th, 11:30am-12:30pm. It’s always a fun way to welcome the neighbourhood to your business!
Would your business like to be included on our parade route this year? The details are: WHAT: Riverside Kiddie Costume Parade – if you’re new to this, basically we come to your door and you hand out treats to about 100 to 150 costumed kiddies (it is a part of the bigger Riverside Halloween Fest & Fundraiser that day) WHEN: Saturday, October 27th, 11:30am-12:30pm (we will share the full parade route details once confirmed) WHERE: Riverside, along Queen St East (last year 20 businesses participated)
Municipal Election All-Candidates Meeting in the RTCC
RTCC and Community Partners Host Oct 17th All-Candidates Meeting from 7-8:45pm; 2nd floor Riverdale Auditorium
The Ralph Thornton Community Centre is hosting a Ward 14 (Toronto Danforth) All-Candidates Meeting as part of it’s “Community Matters” series of community conversations.
Each candidate will have a ‘table’ where residents can meet them and ask questions or raise issues one-on-one. All candidates will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and speak to all attendees at 7:30 PM.
