Leslieville has a new mural!

Thank you to Elicser Elliot for the wonderful new design and everyone involved in the project!

Alexander Muir, a Canadian songwriter, poet, soldier, and school headmaster famously sat under a maple tree as he composed The Maple Leaf Forever in October 1867 to celebrate the Confederation of Canada. The mural’s location happens to be just across the street from the very tree that inspired the song.

We are proud to have helped sponsor the new mural and think it’s a great addition to the neighbourhood!

Credit to Coucillor Paula Fletcher for the photos.
