IMPORTANT MEETING FOR ANY BIA MEMBER WHO IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE NEW CITY BY-LAWS GOVERNING OUTDOOR CAFES SESSION 1 – STAKEHOLDERS
Date: Wednesday, November 26, 2014
Time: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Location: Metro Hall, 55 John Street, Room 308/309
Attention BIA Members – Please make every effort to attend the above special consultation meeting for Stakeholders (That is us – Business and Property Owners ) about a Proposed Patio By-law which is going to public consultations next week.
It is important to attend so you are brought up to speed on some of the changes you may be facing, including the 30 meter setbacks from residential properties and that upon sale of a business the patio permit will not go along with said sale and will be needed to be applied for as a new application.
The Patio By-law is at this point a draft and it will be at the public consultation meetings that some of the changes will be highlighted and brought forward for discussion.
John Kiru, TABIA Executive Director has been tracking this on behalf of TABIA and will continue to do so. Upon official receipt of the proposed by-law TABIA will be developing their position and sharing any strategy that we will be asking the BIAs to get involved in.
There are three consultation sessions -with the Stakeholder sesson on Nov 26th geared to BIAs.
